Welcome to my online office. I am Joy Benn, and I offer communications solutions for people who own businesses. My philosophy: if you own a business, you need to own what you say, say what you own, and rent what gets said about you.
I have been a communications professional for more than 25 years. I began my communications career as an audiologist helping individuals with communication disorders. In the late 90′s I became interested in communication for sake of business marketing.
As an audiologist, I obtained a patient history and performed a hearing evaluation to assess communication function, then I developed a strategy for rehabilitation, and worked with my patients on a course of rehabilitation to remedy a communication disorder caused by hearing loss.
Today, I follow much the same strategy in working with business clients. I take a careful “case history” of the business, and I take an objective business-oriented assessment of recent and ongoing communications of the business, including websites, press releases, social media pages, telephone communications, etc. After the assessment, I work with clients to develop a strategy for long term success. I make sure the right communications tools are in place and teach clients how to use them.
